#SongoftheDay Banks of the Roses (The Barra MacNeils)

When I was a kid, we had neighbours who'd clearly taken a wrong turn and accidentally bought a house in our ("bad") area. They moved to the city from... I don't know where... somewhere else, at any rate, so they obviously weren't aware that our neighbourhood was one to be avoided. And, really, they had more than enough money to move elsewhere.

But they didn't.  They lived around the corner from us for many years. They could easily have been snobs, given that they had more money than everyone else on the block put together, but they were super-nice. I remember one time my dad knocked on their door and asked if they could spot him some "gas money" (which he immediately spent on booze), but they weren't even judgey about stuff like that.

They were so nice that the dad of the family drove us kids to school alongside his own children. It couldn't be called a carpool, because carpools rotate drivers. He just drove us. Every day. Even when I graduated to middle school, which was a different school from the one his kids attended, he kept driving me. Every day.

He would get hooked on a song, and play it in the car, over and over, for weeks. This one was the most memorable. When this album came out, he had this particular song on repeat for more than a month.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!

See you tomorrow!
