#SongoftheDay The Lord is my Shepherd--Psalm 23 [Goodall] (Choir of Wells Cathedral)

I meant to tell you a story yesterday, then I got totally off-track and told you a different story instead.

So here's the story I meant to tell, when I started telling you that my partner was raised in a religious household, but that he's no longer a religious person:

The other night, I woke up to the sound of my partner praying in his sleep.

I was only half awake when I heard this, so I can't remember specifics. I do recall that he was reciting the Lord's Prayer over and over, but I don't think he was saying the whole thing all at once. I think he was repeating just a few lines at a time, and then moving on to different lines.

After the Lord's Prayer, he recited something else, maybe some lines from the bible? They didn't stick in my mind.

The next morning, I told him he'd been praying in his sleep and he said, "I WAS WHAT?!?!"

It came as quite a surprise, clearly.

"First of all, it worries me that I was talking in my sleep at all... but PRAYING???"

As I listened to him sleep-praying, I remember thinking: "I hope he doesn't die." I couldn't think why else a non-religious person would suddenly start praying in their sleep, unless they were about to die.

But he didn't die. And I hope he won't. Not for a very long time.

I chose this version of Psalm 23 as our song of the day because it's used at the theme music for The Vicar of Dibley, and I always liked it.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!

See you tomorrow!
