#SongoftheDay Cruel Summer (Bananarama)
I mentioned that my partner is off visiting family. Well, before he left, I said to him, "I'm glad you get a vacation from taking care of me," and I meant that sincerely. I was his caregiver when he was going through cancer treatment. I know how gruelling it is to take care of someone who is seriously ill.
While my illness isn't "serious" in the sense that I'm not going to die of it, it is debilitating and it is chronic. The specialist we saw confirmed that this condition will never go away--we're just trying to manage it the best we can.

So far, it's not well-managed, despite the best efforts of all involved. I have more bad days than good. Many, many more bad days than good.
The future looks bleak when you're sick all the time. And not just for me. My partner is a sensitive person, and I know it gets him down, seeing me so unwell. Caring for me. It's not easy.
I can manage on my own, but I must admit, life is easier with him around. That's in large part because I like him and I enjoy his company. He's a lovely person to be with.
And by the time you read this, he'll be back in my arms.
If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and anecdotes, the easiest thing you can do is buy my books (most are for adults only!) or check them out from your local library.

Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely.
