#SongoftheDay Reach Out I'll Be There (Four Tops)
My partner gets really bad cramps that wake him out of sleep sometimes. When he wakes up, I wake up--because he screams. All the neighbours in our building probably wake up too.
Last night, when my partner woke with a cramp, he jumped out of bed, screaming, and immediately grabbed my hand. He'd never done that before. His bedroom is extremely dark at night. I can see almost nothing. And yet my partner didn't swipe around the bed searching for my hand. He reached across the bed and found my hand instantly. When I asked him the next morning how he'd done that, he said he just knew where my hand was.
I cried when he squeezed my hand, not because he was hurting me, but because I was so deeply touched that he sought my help in that way. My partner is the kind of person who always wants to solve his own problems. I ask him if I can help with whatever issue he's having, and he says no, he'll handle it himself. I understand. I'm the same way.
That's why it touched me so deeply that he reached for me in the darkness, that he found my hand and held it until the pain subsided.
I often worry that I'm not a supportive enough partner. Trauma trips me up every step along the way. But maybe my work on myself is paying off, if my partner is ready to reach for me. I hope so.
Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!
I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.
But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.
Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!
See you tomorrow!
