#SongoftheDay God Bless the Child (Billie Holiday)

I did not grow up listening to jazz. The first time I ever heard this song, it was performed by Lisa Simpson on the Simpsons Sing the Blues album, which I owned on cassette tape.

Now, my partner lives in a neighbourhood where there are always buskers performing. We see the same few musicians every day, and I'm pretty familiar with their repertoire. When I was out yesterday, I walked by a vocalist I'd never heard before. She was singing a gorgeous rendition of this tune.

As her voice filled my ears, I looked up and saw a child... wearing a Simpsons T-shirt. Now, that was very common in the early 90s, but most days I do not see anyone wearing Simpsons gear. I thought it was so funny that I was hearing this song I associated with little Lisa and seeing this kid wearing a Simpsons top.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

See you tomorrow!
Giselle
