#SongoftheDay Like A Prayer (Madonna)

Yesterday I started telling you about walking around in a hormone-infused bad mood while singing the Garbage song "I'm Only Happy When It Rains."

But I didn't tell you the end of the story.

I walked past a house that was being constructed upon, and the contractors were blasting this song: Madonna's "Like A Prayer."  I'm sure I've already told you that Like A Prayer was the first album I ever bought with my own money, so it's got a special place of nostalgia in my heart.

When I heard this song as I walked past the construction site, it brought an instant smile to my lips. Did the smile lift my mood, or did the song? Maybe each was a contributing factor. Although, it was the song that made me smile, so I guess it's down to the song.

The question remains: is it better to scrap all our sad songs (read yesterday's post if you don't know what I'm talking about), or do they have a place in our healing process?  Could I have skipped straight to Like A Prayer, or did I need Garbage before I could get there?

That, I can't answer.

btw, I still picked a completely unnecessary fight with my partner when I got home from my walk, so I'll tell you this much: music ain't no cure for hormones.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!

See you tomorrow!
