#SongoftheDay Walk On By (Dionne Warwick)

My partner's best friend hates me. She barely knows me, but she hates me. I think we exchanged maybe three words 25 years ago, but apparently that was enough for her to go on.

You'd think I'd be insulted, but I'm really not. When someone makes a snap judgement like that, it says way more about them than it does about you. She views me as a cardboard cut-out, a cliche, a stereotype. That's fine. I know I'm not the person she wants me to be, so I just keep my distance. My partner often warns me she has a viperous tongue when she doesn't like someone. I don't have the energy for that. She can insult me behind my back. I'm used to that sort of thing. If it happens behind my back, at least I don't need to react to it.

I actually have nothing against her. She's quirky and creative and she's great at putting ideas into action. Plus, she's a great sounding board for my partner--even if she does think that being in a relationship with me is a huge mistake, possibly the biggest mistake of his life.

It's a shame she chooses to see me the way she does. If she got to know me, she might realize that I'm funny and kind and I care deeply for other people. Even people I don't know. Even people who hate my guts.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!

See you tomorrow!
Giselle
