I went to YouTube in hopes of stumbling upon a song to include in today's post, and instead I spent way too much time watching videos of people preparing egg dishes. Maybe that makes sense--Easter and all.  

This year feels much like last year, in terms of not seeing family at the holidays.  Last Easter was the first holiday where Covid prevented us from seeing each other. In the same way that every day feels like Groundhog Day, the deja vu nature of this weekend makes it feel like Groundhog Easter.

Auto-tweet appears to be busted again. This song was playing in the background of a party scene on an episode of Bergerac I watched the other day. When I looked it up, I realized I never knew what it was actually called. I have always misheard the lyrics as "we know the night..."  This is my first time listening with headphones. Yeah, with headphones it definitely sounds like "because" and not "we know."  Seeing the title spelled out also helps. #SongoftheDay Steal My Sunshine (Len)

Yesterday we listened to Andrea True Connection's track "More, More, More" and I mentioned that it was sampled in a song from the late 90s. This is the song. Did you guess right? I know I say this about every decade, but man did we wear some ugly clothes back then. I forget what the style was called, when we wore tight tops and baggy pants and hair all twisted up like that, but that was not attractive, in retrospect. I absolutely wore stuff like that, but it was bad. The only style I subscribed to that I maintain any respect for is grunge. In 1992/3/4 I wore black jeans and oversized plaid shirts over long-sleeved t-shirts. If I had to go back to a style of clothing I wore when I when I was younger, I guess I'd go back to that. I think the teens of today have got the right idea, with their track pants and comfy clothes. I can get on board with comfy.
