#SongoftheDay Open (San Fermin)

I can't believe it's taken me so long to feature this song. I was so sure I'd written about it... and then I realized, yes, I have written about it... in a post at my Donuts and Desires blog.

This is what I wrote there:

I spent an entire evening listening to Open in my kitchen, in a trance, holding my headphones and asking, "What does it mean? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN???" while simultaneously being very glad I live alone.

I have persistent memories of doing this (the trance dance to this song--and always in my kitchen) because I've done it many times.

This song helped me through some major depressive episodes. As soon as I played it today, that deep depression came to mind. I am so grateful I don't feel that way now. Although I know it could easily come back (I've been chronically depressed for 20 years), I've never felt so well as I do now that I no longer live alone. Waking up next to my partner makes me feel the day has purpose and structure. I need that.

I know I shouldn't rely on someone else's presence in my life to maintain my mental health, but my partner really does help me. Just by existing.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!

See you tomorrow!
Giselle
