#SongoftheDay Je suis partie (Anik Jean)

I feel like this song should be some kind of queer anthem. I feel like a lot of queer people can relate to the story and sentiment of walking away from family.

Although, funny enough, my own family was much more friendly toward me when I was in a longterm relationship with a trans woman than they are now that I'm getting serious with a man.

Funny.

I've got a little family gathering coming up this weekend, and I can guarantee it's going to be uncomfortable. This would be a great opportunity for my family to get to know the man I want to marry, but that's not going to happen.  He's not invited.

Big surprise, right?  Sweet was never invited to family activities. Sometimes I would force the issue and bring her along, but the last time I recall doing that, my mom dropped out. Rude.

Gotta hand it to one of my sisters, though: she did all kinds of stuff with me and Sweet.  She was good, that way.  Plus, she doesn't make friends easily, so I guess it's good that she could tag along with us.  I hope she'll feel equally comfortable with my current partner, because he's one of those rare birds who will actually appreciate her academic, esoteric sense of humour.

If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!

I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.

But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.

Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!

See you tomorrow!
