#SongoftheDay California Dreamin (The Mamas and The Papas)
This week it's Songs of Fall, brought to you by K-Tel, etc. etc. Althought I guess this is actually a winter song. Always strikes me as autumnal, for whatever reason.
My partner and I learned how to solve cryptic crosswords during the pandemic, and it's one of my favourite things we do together. I think I enjoy it so much because it's very challenging, there are still puzzles we can't finish or get less than 50% on (my partner always calculates how well we did), but there are also puzzles we get 100% on. Every time I come up with an answer (or we come up with one together, which is often how it works), I feel very accomplished. I don't feel that way too often, so it's a treat.
The reason I'm telling you about crypic crosswords today is that we worked on one last month that had Mama Cass as a solution. It was the first one we got on the puzzle. My partner put the paper down on the table, I saw something about a 60s quartet, and I think there was a word in there that served as a letter bank for Mama Cass. It was the fastest I have ever come up with an answer, and I'm still pretty proud of myself.
If you're wondering how you can support me in bringing you songs and visits every day, the easiest thing you can do is tell your friends about the site. Tell anyone you know--particularly people who are isolated and enjoy music.

Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!
I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.
But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.
Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!
See you tomorrow!
