#SongoftheDay Schubert's Die Forelle/The Trout (Grace Bumbry)
This post is MONTHS in the making. Finally--finally!--it's here.
You see, my partner is lucky enough to have a washing machine in his apartment. He's got those stacking kind that are small and go in a closet. The dryer is pretty old, but the washer is new and very cool. When it's done washing your clothes, it sings a song at you. It sings THIS song at you!
Every time I heard it, I thought, "That's Mozart, right? Yeah, that sounds like Mozart."
I wanted to share this story with you, so I spent hours scouring Youtube for the Mozart aria this little tune was drawn from. Because I was sure it was Mozart. One hundred percent certain.
The other night we were listening to the radio during dinner, and the classical host talked about her composer of the week: Franz Schubert. Then she played this lieder: The Trout.
I nearly jumped out of my chair.
"This is the song our washing machine sings!" I told my partner.
He had no idea what I was talking about. He'd never noticed the washer singing. But I was incredibly excited to have found out what that song was, after so many months of searching. It's not Mozart after all. Anyone can be wrong!
Readers of adult fiction can also buy my books or check them out from your local library. Supporting my AudioErotica endeavour on Patreon would also help me hugely!
I'm also an Amazon Influencer, so hopefully I can make a little pocket change when you buy stuff by clicking through my affiliate links.
But you don't HAVE to do any of that. I'm very happy to get a daily visit from you, so just keep coming back.
Oh, and I also recommend hitting the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page so you won't miss a song!
See you tomorrow!
